Marc Summers Says WWE Tried To Hire Him As Announcer

“WWE back in the day wanted to hire me away from Nickelodeon and put me on as an announcer on that show, but they offered me zero money, so I wasn't going to do it.— Marc Summers
Marc Summers recalled that during the original run of Double Dare on Nickelodeon the show featured two Super-Slop-a-Mania episodes with WWF stars. Summers said his favorite was the one featuring Gorilla Monsoon against Bobby Heenan and that WWE wanted to hire him away from Nickelodeon to work as an announcer. He turned down the offer because it paid zero money; Summers already knew Heenan from his teenage days selling refreshments together at Starlight Musicals in Indianapolis.
