Man Shot Outside WWE Performance Center Files Lawsuit

A man shot outside the WWE Performance Center in 2015 has filed a civil lawsuit. Armando Alejandro Montalvo named World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. and several other parties as defendants in the case filed in federal court in Florida.

The lawsuit was submitted in May with an amended complaint filed last month. It names WWE Performance Center Manager David Bailey, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, two individual deputies, Aspire Health Partners Inc., and Walmart Inc. as co-defendants.

Montalvo claims he was targeted in a separate incident at a Walmart store in June 2020. He alleges store management and deputies worked together to bring false criminal trespass charges against him, which were later dropped by the State Attorney’s Office.

In 2015 Montalvo was arrested for trespassing at the Performance Center after being warned to leave the property. He had previously shown up multiple times demanding a job, threatening talent, and smearing feces on the building.

Montalvo returned to the facility on August 31, 2015, and acted out as a wrestler while banging on the doors. When police arrived he engaged with them and was shot, then hospitalized and charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and trespassing.

The suit seeks a jury trial along with compensatory damages, punitive damages, and declaratory relief against all named parties. WWE had previously obtained an order of protection against Montalvo following the earlier incidents.
