Kojima can earn NJPW Junior Title Shot with Weight Stipulation

Satoshi Kojima will face IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion YOH in a non-title match at Taichi’s Old School Pro-Wrestling 2 event on October 17.

The bout includes a weight stipulation. If Kojima makes the required weight and defeats YOH, he will earn a future opportunity at the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.

This marks the second year in a row for the Taichi-produced Old School event. The show is scheduled to take place at Taichi’s former junior high school in Ishikari City, Hokkaido.

The event will stream live on NJPW World as a pay-per-view. Japanese commentary will be available for the live broadcast, with English commentary added later for on-demand viewing.

YOH captured the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship this year after winning the Best of the Super Juniors tournament and defeating DOUKI for the title. His most recent successful defense came against Robbie Eagles at the King of Pro Wrestling event.
