John Bradshaw Layfield named new president of Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame

Gerry Brisco has stepped down as president of the board of directors for the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. He will move into an advisory role. John Bradshaw Layfield has been named as his replacement and assumes the position immediately.

The announcement was made by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum. Brisco expressed confidence that Layfield and his support team will continue to grow the Hall of Fame and maintain its standards.

Layfield stated that he is honored to follow Brisco and looks forward to expanding the Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame while building the Global Hall of Fame brand. A new entity called Global Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame, LLC has been created to work alongside the Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame.

The Global Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame is intended to create additional opportunities for the Dan Gable Museum, professional wrestlers, and the sport. Layfield emphasized that it will not impact fans or the enshrinement process for the Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame.
