Jeff Hardy Written Off TNA Impact

Jeff Hardy was written off TNA television during the main event of Thursday night's Impact episode. The syX Slaughterhouse match pitted syX against The Hardys and concluded with Samuel Shaw and Joseph Sawyer placing a trash can over Jeff Hardy before smashing it from both sides with pipes.

The angle served to explain his upcoming absence as TNA heads to Canada for its next set of tapings. Jeff Hardy has faced repeated difficulties entering Canada because of his past legal issues related to substance abuse. A TNA source described the situation as a perfect storm that allows the promotion to account for his absence from the Canadian shows while giving him months to heal.

TNA can still film segments with Jeff in the United States for airing on Impact, but he will not appear at the Canada tapings. Sources anticipate his return for the December tapings scheduled in Houston, Texas.
