Hechicero to face Zack Sabre Jr. at Lucha Kingdom

CMLL and NJPW will co-promote the Lucha Kingdom event next month. Two matches have been confirmed for the November 16 card at Arena Mexico in Mexico City.

CMLL World Heavyweight Champion Hechicero will face Zack Sabre Jr. in a non-title singles match. The bout was officially announced during this week's episode of CMLL Informa.

Hechicero and Sabre Jr. have faced each other multiple times in recent weeks. At CMLL's 93rd Anniversary event last month, Hechicero retained his title in a three-way match that also included Sabre Jr. and Claudio Castagnoli.

The two wrestlers also competed against one another during three matches on NJPW's King of Pro Wrestling tour earlier this month. This included a tag team match at Ryogoku Kokugikan.

Additionally, CMLL's Kira will challenge Syuri for the IWGP Women's Championship at the event. Syuri has defended the title five times since October 2025 against opponents including Saya Kamitani and Athena but has not yet faced a CMLL wrestler with the belt on the line.
