Drew McIntyre Trained In-Ring While Filming In Barcelona

Drew McIntyre has been absent from WWE television since suffering a loss to Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42. During this time away, he has focused on filming several movies including The Last Druid and Highlander.

While spending three months in Barcelona shooting The Last Druid, McIntyre felt a strong urge to return to in-ring action. He located a wrestling ring through a local independent wrestler who was working as a stunt extra on the film.

McIntyre began training in the ring with the stuntman and some of his associates. He used the sessions to satisfy his desire to wrestle, engaging in intense drills that mirrored his typical hard-hitting style.

The sessions allowed McIntyre to stay sharp despite the extended break from WWE programming. He has described himself as Hollywood Drew in recent interviews and indicated that his return to the company will occur on his own terms.
