D-Von Dudley Discusses Training Philosophy and WWE Memories

D-Von Dudley Academy students trained on a Tuesday evening near the WWE Performance Center in Central Florida. The group included newer enrollees and several wrestlers who had competed at the school's recent independent show DDA Ascension.
Trainees performed exercises such as Hindu squats and high knee burnouts under the supervision of strength and conditioning coach Apache Dann Carr. Carr has a background in organizing strength contests among ironworkers and craftsmen that led to the creation of American Gladiators.
Carr shared memories while directing the session. He noted that DDA alumnus Kamille has incorporated his Dudley Dozen workout into her own school.
The coach emphasized rigorous preparation for WWE tryouts by training students based on what those tryouts require. He demanded full effort without excuses such as referencing previous leg day workouts.
Carr highlighted achievements including a DDA record of 205 situps while holding a 75-pound weight set by Jessika Carr, who chose her WWE surname in his honor. Wrestlers such as Serpentico, Sam Shaw, and Robbie T have trained under the same program.
