D-Von Dudley Defends Max Caster After TNA Release

“It seems to me that society has gotten soft.— D-Von Dudley
D-Von Dudley has come to the defense of Max Caster following Caster's release from TNA Wrestling. Caster was dismissed from the promotion on the same night as his TNA debut after performing a controversial rap that mocked the bombings in Saudi Arabia.
On his podcast, D-Von Dudley explained that professional wrestling promos have changed significantly from previous eras and argued that society has become soft, leading to the silencing of anyone who says anything mildly controversial. Dudley pointed out that content from the Attitude Era, the Hogan and Andre Era, and even the Bruno Sammartino Era would now result in being kicked off the air, silenced, or excommunicated from everything.
The WWE Hall of Famer noted that modern promos hit home by discussing personal topics including someone's wife, kids, dog, or even death and desecration of a grave. Dudley stated that social media amplifies every minor incident and described the entire matter involving Caster as insignificant.
He expressed sympathy for Caster, saying his heart goes out to him and his family because Caster did his best, knocked it out of the park, and performed greatly. Dudley added that he hopes and prays to see Caster back at 100 percent and reassured him that the pro wrestling community is supporting him while thanking him for his contributions to the business.
