Cody Rhodes Links Neck Tattoo To Career Rise

“I'll say it's a regret because of maybe the logo itself, because of its size and its placement, but it's been— Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes got a neck tattoo after his time with Bullet Club in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He wanted to move away from the faction's gun-themed design and create his own logo.
The American Nightmare logo draws inspiration from the Shadaloo organization and M. Bison's emblem in the Street Fighter video game series. Rhodes referenced a scene from a Burlesque Hall movie featuring M. Bison's World Warrior tournament when directing the artist who designed the logo.
Rhodes first displayed the tattoo at AEW Revolution in 2020. Following its debut, he achieved success in both Hollywood and professional wrestling.
He returned to WWE in 2022 and has held the Undisputed WWE Championship on three occasions. Rhodes views the tattoo as a career turning point despite some personal reservations about its size and placement.
He described his path since getting the ink as an upward trajectory. Rhodes stated that the decision has not hindered his professional progress.
