Canelo Álvarez regains WBC Super Middleweight Title

Canelo Álvarez defeated Christian Mbilli by unanimous decision with scores of 115-112, 116-111 and 117-110 to reclaim the WBC Super Middleweight Championship in the main event of Saturday's boxing card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The bout took place at The Venue without any reported security issues, one week ahead of WWE Crown Jewel being held in the same arena. This marked Álvarez's first fight since losing his super middleweight titles to Terence Crawford in September 2025 and coming off elbow surgery, as the event proceeded amid ongoing regional missile and drone attacks.
