Brock Lesnar Inducted into Minnesota M Club Hall of Fame

Brock Lesnar was inducted into the University of Minnesota's M Club Hall of Fame on October 3, 2026. The induction followed his retirement from professional wrestling at SummerSlam. He was one of 10 inductees recognized at the event.

Lesnar attended the induction wearing glasses and a suit. This appearance differed from his usual MMA gloves and shorts during his wrestling career. Former WWE wrestler Shelton Benjamin, who had been Lesnar's college roommate, attended the festivities and posed for a photo with Lesnar and his family.

Born in South Dakota, Lesnar first attended Bismarck State College before transferring to the University of Minnesota on a wrestling scholarship. He finished as runner-up in the NCAA Division I heavyweight championship before winning the title in 2000. Lesnar compiled a 106-5 record during his collegiate wrestling career.

After college, Lesnar entered professional wrestling by joining WWE's developmental program, Ohio Valley Wrestling, in 2000. He debuted on the main roster in March 2002 and quickly won his first world championship five months later by defeating The Rock at SummerSlam. This victory was the first of 10 world titles he would capture in WWE.

Lesnar left WWE in 2004 to compete in other promotions including New Japan Pro-Wrestling. He also tried professional football and mixed martial arts, becoming a successful UFC fighter. He returned to WWE in 2012, incorporating more MMA-style moves and wearing MMA gloves during matches.

Lesnar retired from WWE at SummerSlam 2026 after losing a Hell in a Cell match to Oba Femi. Their rivalry had lasted for months leading up to the event.
