Austin Creed Details Swerve Strickland's AEW Trios Plan

“So logically, well, of course we want to put hands on everybody as quick as we can.— Austin Creed
Austin Creed and Kofi, known as the New Level, left WWE in early 2026. They made their AEW debut at All In 2026 in London by teaming with Swerve Strickland. The group won the AEW World Trios Championship minutes after their debut.
The New Level entered the Trios Roulette Royale match for the titles and defeated multiple other teams to claim the championship. They have since defended the titles on Dynamite. They also defended against Hangman Adam Page and Brodido at All Out 2026.
Creed recently discussed the original plan that Strickland had for the group in AEW. Strickland suggested that joining the trios division would allow them to face six or seven tag teams right away at Wembley. This approach enabled them to compete against several credible teams quickly.
Creed explained that winning the titles helped the group gain experience against various teams on the roster. He noted the benefit of having Strickland, described as the most dangerous man in AEW, alongside them during these matches. Prince Nana is also part of their group.
