Anya Rune Steps Back From Pro Wrestling

Airica Demia, known in WWE as Anya Rune, is stepping away from wrestling. She announced the decision on social media, citing the need to prioritize her physical and mental health.

Rune stated that she has fallen out of love with wrestling. She expressed uncertainty about the duration of her break but hopes to rediscover her passion for the sport during her time away.

She plans to remain somewhat active on social media, though with reduced wrestling-related content. Rune emphasized her appreciation for what wrestling has provided her despite her current feelings.

Rune was released by WWE on September 4. Prior to that, she had been competing regularly on WWE EVOLVE as part of the WWE ID program.

Before signing with WWE, she performed under the name Airica Demia on the independent circuit. She earned a WWE ID contract in March.
