AEW is preparing for its Blood and Guts event. WrestleDream featured a new match concept called Clockwork Carnage that introduced fresh elements to the promotion's programming.

In the first phase of Clockwork Carnage, Speedball Mike Bailey was eliminated first. Kazuchika Okada eliminated Konosuke Takeshita in a surprise moment.

The second phase of the match saw frequent lead changes in quick succession. Will Ospreay retained the Men's World Championship by delivering a last-second Hidden Blade on Adam Copeland.

Adam Copeland announced that 2027 will be his final year in wrestling. Following the match, Ospreay and Copeland shared a contentious handshake while Samoa Joe was shown watching from the stage.

Thekla competed in a high-quality match against Mercedes Moné. Moné used her mask to gain an advantage before securing the pinfall victory with the Moné Maker.
