Eddie Kingston Replaces Malakai Black in PROGRESS
Malakai Black will not appear at the upcoming PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 199: BoneStorm event due to a personal issue. The promotion's co-owner Big Damo stated that Black and his partner Xelina are dealing with a family matter and will not compete next week. They are expected to return to PROGRESS in 2027.
Eddie Kingston has been announced as the replacement for Black. He will face Luke Jacobs at the Chapter 199 event scheduled for October 25. Jacobs is noted as the youngest PROGRESS Triple Crown winner in the company's history.
The matchup is described by the promotion as potentially the last time Kingston appears in a PROGRESS ring, though they expressed hope that it will not be. Both competitors are expected to deliver a strong performance inside the Ballroom.
Kingston is also set to appear for OTT Wrestling in Ireland the day before on October 24. That event has been renamed 'NewEnd' to reflect the change in his schedule.
